Noémie Decaen

Noémie Decaen is a French-Japanese woman photographer and painter based in London. Since her young age, she has had a passion for the arts, photography, and music.

She grew up in Paris—a city that forever resonates within her—where she studied Arts and the History of Arts, and completed a Bachelor's in Arts and Culture management, while creating her music blog between 2011 and 2015.

In 2014, she moved to London.

After years of shooting on and off, mostly focusing on travel and portrait photography, 2022 marks a real change in her approach to photography, which will become much more present in her life. At this time, she developed an interest in street photography.
She is looking for the real, the funny, the weird and the beautiful in the streets, celebrating people and life. You can find most of her photography work shared on her Instagram account.

In 2023, she worked with the team of SPOT for a few months, and self-published her first photography book (more information here)

In 2024, she joined the team at Urban Photographers Club. The community was named in the category of “Best Photography Community” at the AP Awards in 2025 and 2026.

In June 2025, after a transformative solo trip to Japan, she presented her first solo exhibition themed around Japan in London, as part of the London Photo Show.
Later in the year, she rekindled her love of painting and drawing, giving birth to new projects.

You can also find music playlists shared on her Instagram and Spotify every month.

It has always been about sharing, growing, and exchanging with others, and it always will be.
